The risk management process in the workplace is common for all types
of workplaces. The hazards in the workplace have to be identified and
the risks assessed and controlled, so the workplace is as safe as is practicably
possible. The process of identifying hazards, assessing risks and developing
control measures is known as risk management.
The Risk Management procedure includes the following steps:
- Identify the hazard
- Determine the potential effects of the hazard and assess the risk
- Determine appropriate control measures
- Institute and review the control measures
