Safety Policies
Safety
Policies
- give a broad overview of your company's approach to safety
- ensure that your company is committed to OH&S
- form part of your overall OH&S "Obligation" (in Queensland)
or "Duty of Care" (rest of Australia)
- give your company direction
Your organisation's Safety Policy should be displayed in a prominent
place at the workplace so that all members of your staff, including visitors
to your workplace can read the Safety Policy. This may mean that you will
require multiple copies of your Safety Policy displayed throughout the
workplace.
The Safety Policy should describe your organisation's commitment to Health
& Safety and the rehabilitation of all workers in your workplace.
Ron Atkinson Training & Assessment can help you formulate
your Safety Policy.
Your organisation may also require Safety Plans
for the use of equipment and/or procedures performed within the workplace.
